Smart charging needs to know how much energy a car can hold, so we ask for the usable capacity in kWh. That is the figure printed in the owner's manual, which sits a few kWh below the gross pack size manufacturers tend to advertise.
Most customers never have to look it up. We read the car's VIN, check it against our EV database, and only ask for what we could not work out on our own.

The usual case for popular models. Each row leads with the capacity and adds the trim name below it where that helps tell two similar packs apart.
The first row comes pre-selected, so a customer who recognises their car can simply carry on.

The VIN gave us the make but no battery information, so the customer fills in the rest. Three steps:

Uncommon, and usually a very new model, a very old one, or a market our catalogue has yet to reach. The picker opens empty and the customer identifies the car from scratch.
Two small things to know:
